I use a reputable, professional print lab to make "chromogenic" prints of my work for the open-editions. As you navigate the pieces on the website, you will see a box titled "Open-Edition Chromogenic Prints" either below or beside the image. You can select your paper of choice (Lustre, Glossy, or Metallic) as well as the size of choice for that particular piece. The price associated with each check box is the price for that particular size and paper type with shipping included in the price. Lustre and Glossy papers will be the same price at a particular size while the pieces on Metallic paper will be a little bit higher. I suggest either Glossy or Metallic paper type for my work to get the most vibrant color that many of my pieces have. The Metallic paper is a growing popular choice and offers a bit of a different look when adequate lighting strikes the paper -- giving it a sort of three-dimensional look -- especially with some of the neutral tones.
All prints will be shipped to me first (if I do not already have the particular size and paper of the requested piece in stock) so that I can ensure that the print turned out okay to my satisfaction. At that point I will sign and number the print as well as the certificate of authenticity so that you know it has been looked over by me before it is shipped out to you. Every print that is ordered off MikeUmscheidPhotography.com MUST be reviewed, signed, and numbered by me. The typical completion time of an order from the time the order is placed to the time you receive it in your hands will be up to 10 business days. There are exceptions to this, however. If I am on an extended photo shoot for over a week (or other vacation), then the turnaround time for your order may be as long as three to four weeks. I will make a note on the website when this is the case...and the expected time frame for when your order should be received. Paypal is the suggested method of payment for any order, however if you wish to pay by other means, then please let me know using the communication box on the "saved carts/order history" page for your account.
Each print will come with a certificate of authenticity which will have on it the following information:
- Title of the piece
- Brief description of the piece
- Art size
- Paper size
- Print media
- Post-print finish (if applicable)
- Print date
- A description of the open edition for which the piece is a part of
- Assigned number followed by "/oe" designating it is part of an open edition
- Mike Umscheid signature and date
